Summer vacation!

I finished teaching for the term this past week (even though I'll keep having to teach a little bit every day for the entire break, save one week).

I just wanted to thank Kelly for the lovely package and Laura for the lovely postcard. <3

I saw the new Harry Potter movie today, partially in "3-D," with Janet. It was fun and cute, though the plot felt rather flimsy. I'm posting a great deal of photos on facebook. I'll use those pictures to show you who some of the kids I've written about here are (and maybe some new ones).

  1. Yeah I noticed you updated with alot of pics. I thought the Harry Potter Movie was alright too. It felt like a set up for the last 2 films since you see a few things here and there that give it that "calm before the storm" feel to it. Will you be teaching for half a day? Or is it a private teaching for a small group of students? Have a good summer.

  2. It's small classes of more advanced students... at least that's how it's set up this summer. It's been pretty relaxing to have so much more free time. It's so much easier teaching just a little bit each day.

  3. I finally saw the latest HP film last week, and I really enjoyed it. I liked it much more than the last one (I have come to the conclusion that I like the films/books where Voldemort doesn't figure largely). I thought the characters finally acted their age a bit. I enjoyed the music and the costumes. And the Snape-age.
It did vary from the book, but then again, I recently finished listening to the audiobooks (as read by Stephen Fry - much better than the American dude!!), and so my mind automatically fills in the plot gaps...

  4. Ahaha. Yes yes... the Snape-age. XD I'm looking forward for the next one. I'm reading the book you sent me. =] I need some nice books to submerge myself into.
