Since South Korea is relatively new at being welcoming to foreigners, those of us who are from other countries have to get what we call an ARC or an Alien Registration Card. If I had applied for an F-4 visa (for foreigners who have parents from Korea), as I should have, I wouldn't have to worry much about an ARC. Since I only have a E-2, I couldn't sign up for internet service until I got my ARC, which was just Monday. I feel like I can breathe again.
I got my first flu in South Korea, so I had a hospital trip today and only paid about 3,500 won, which is less than 3 dollars. Teachers sure get good health insurance here. I got some medicine that I need to take for 3 days, 3 times a day, each dose packaged in it's own little paper envelope.
I have a lot to write about, but now it's time for me to rest up. Hope everyone's been well. I missed my first food today... hot apple cider. Anyone know where I can get some in Seoul?
